Vocal Artists of Iowa (VAoI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit choral group, composed primarily of professional musicians, working to enrich our local Iowan communities through free high-quality performances and providing educational resources to public schools.
The arts are a critical piece of a healthy, thriving community for all ages. Music education and enrichment should also be accessible to people of all economic means.
Donations secure venues, purchase music rights, hire guest clinicians, pay professional musicians, and provide high-quality concerts, recordings, and resources to local schools.
VAoI also offers music camps and training resources for schools, enhancing the quality of local choral music programs. These programs are especially significant to smaller programs that do not have a large budget or staff.
Your generosity will help us continue to support local schools with resources to provide high-quality music education.
Finally, your donations bring internationally renowned composers to Eastern Iowa for collaborative concerts with VAoI and local high schools. Recent collaborations have included Stacey Gibbs, Moira Smiley, Andrew Last, Storm Large, Eric Barnum, and Z. Randall Stroope.
